MUISE, Christine Lillian (née Vacon) – age 88, Amirault’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born December 3, 1927 in Springhaven, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Catherine (Morris) Vacon. In her younger years, Christine worked as a housekeeper at Braemar Lodge but was primarily a homemaker and dedicated to her family. She was completely devoted in her Catholic faith, her life revolved around God and family. She is survived by children, Barbara (Phil) Landry, Amirault’s Hill; Victor (Miriam) Muise, Mount Uniacke; Janice LeBlanc, Fall River; Paul (Kelley) Muise, Hectanooga and Bernadine (Joseph) Damphouse, Windsor, ON, special stepson Gerald (Joan) Amirault, Saint John, NB, as well as by grandchildren Jacqueline (Randall) Landry, Mathew (Shelley) Landry, Catherine (Dwayne) Raynard, Ryan Muise, Candace (Jonathon) Mattinson, Réjean (Crissy) Doucette, Lynette (Lance) Robinson, Marcel LeBlanc, Johnathan Muise, Joseph (Amanda) Muise, Chafica Ghazali, Tonella Ghazali, Zachary Ghazali; great grandchildren, Madison and Emilie - Elizabeth Crosby; Dawson Raynard; Hunter and Colton Mattinson; Gracie and Hunter Doucette; Geneviève and Charlotte Robinson, Abigail, Ava and Aliya Muise; Eden and Eli Muise; Anthony Gagnon, and a sister Anita (Richard) Griffin, Arcadia. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her late husband, Jean Carrie Muise, as well as by a daughter, Josie LeBlanc and siblings, Marilyn, Basil, Roseanne, Leona, Janet, Theresa and Alma. Visitation took place from 7-9 p.m. Friday, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 12th at Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc CJM officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Donations in Christine’s memory may be made to Holy Family Church or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
