JACKLYN, Joan Marie, 74, Shelburne, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Roseway Hospital, with family by her side. Joan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother , great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed gardening, baking, doing crafts and family gatherings. The thing she cherished most in life was her family. Joan was a member of the Shelburne Lions Club. She worked in the kitchen at Roseway Hospital for over twenty years. Joan will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; daughter, Judy (John) Marsh and their children, Jason and Natasha; sons, Gerry (Belinda), and their children, Matthew and Alexa; Donnie (Angela) children, Savanna and Michael as well as great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Madisyn; brothers, Jimmy Dulong (Theresa); Larry Doucette (Delima); Ronald Doucette (Gloria) sisters, Jean Lunn (George); Marion Durham (Buddy). Besides her parents she was predeceased by son, Michael. No visitation by request. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 18 at 2:30 p.m. in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Shelburne, with Father Keith Billard officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK Health Centre.
