ALLEN, Wayne Rodney – age 69, Plympton, Digby Co., passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 20, 1946 in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Clarence and Miriam (LeBlanc) Allen. Wayne was a fisherman for 30 years and also drove for Garson and Son and was most recently the Yard Manager at Home Hardware in Yarmouth. In his spare time he loved sport fishing, especially for rainbow trout, and he was always tinkering with something. He is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Prime) Allen, as well as by a son, Anthony (Sandra) Allen, Saint John, NB, and a daughter, Colleen (George) McKenna, Halifax and grandchildren, Tyler, Caitlyn, Christopher and Paris; great grandchildren, Avari and Brianna. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, J. Lorraine (Saulnier) Allen and a sister, Anne Crowe. Visitation took place from 2 to 4 p.m., Friday, December 18 at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. A private graveside service will take place at a later time in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Yarmouth.
