SOMERVILLE, LEWIS
Surrounded by loving family, Lewis H. Somerville of Juniper passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at his home. Born March 9, 1923 in Biggar Ridge he was the son of the late Hedley and Ada (Sayles) Somerville.
He was also predeceased by his wife, Margaret "Patsy" Somerville; five sisters, Madeline, Audrey, Helen, Dorothy and Lucy; an infant brother, Thomas. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Lewis lived life to the fullest, he enjoyed farming, woods work, gardening and maintaining his family homestead. Lewis devoted his entire life to his family and church community by whom will be sadly missed.
Lewis is survived by his three children, Fred Somerville (Marion), Sandra Steeves (David) and Victor Somerville (Barbara); 10 grandchildren, Jonathan Steeves, Christina Alders (Geoff), Matthew Steeves (Katie), Kimberly Somerville, Daniel Steeves (Erika), Andrew Somerville (Louise), Christopher Somerville (Donnalene), Thomas Somerville (Tina), Alisha Somerville (Aaron), John Eric Somerville (Kaylie); 10 great-grandchildren, Jack, Katie, Cayden, Grady, Jacob, Chloe, Liam, Addison, Neve, John David and Weston; three brothers-in-law, Harold Carr, Robert "Bobbie" McBrine and Ronald "Joe" McBrine (Avis); a sister-in-law, Wanda Brewer as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00 am from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert LeBlanc will officiate. The interment will be in the Biggar Ridge Cemetery on Thursday, November 24, 2015 at 11:00 am.
