Lynda Coughlan
COUGHLAN, LYNDA LOUISE
Lynda L. Coughlan, 65, of Lutes Mountain, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, December 24, 2015. Born in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Margaret (Smith) Sutherland. Lynda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Lynda always seemed so strong—even when she wasn’t feeling well she carried on. She always seemed to have strength to share with the rest of us and she willingly rolled up her sleeves and rose to any occasion. She calmly and steadily found solutions for whatever problems came her way—whether they were her problems or someone asking for help. Lynda was always resourceful, willing and creative. Family, friends, food, fun and togetherness—those were her focus. We could all take lessons from her: She put her energy into what mattered most to her.
Lynda will be sadly missed by her husband, Robert “Bob” Coughlan of Lutes Mountain; daughters, Lisa Wilson (Rick) of Woodstock, Rhonda Coughlan (Peter) of Colpitts Settlement and Angela Beaulieu (Gaetan) of Grande Digue; sons, Shawn Coughlan (Silvia) of Hampton, Terence Coughlan (Cheryl) and Nicholas Coughlan-Hebert (Farrah), both of Moncton; fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sisters, Eva-Gay Sutherland (Jason) of Alberta, Sandra Mazerolle (John) of Mazerolle Settlement and Donna Speer (Robert) of Holmesville; several nieces, nephews and extended members, as well as special family friend, Ryan Douthwright (Rebecca) of Riverview.
A Service to celebrate Lynda’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 1:30 pm with Rev. David Turner officiating. Reception in the Funeral home Reception Centre following the service.
In Lynda’s memory, donations to a local food bank would be appreciated by the family.
