LeBLANC, HELEN E.
Helen E. LeBlanc, 74, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, December 24, 2015. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Lilla (Gordon) Matthews.
Helen was a retired Clerk with The Royal Bank and a member of Visions United Church and TOPS. An avid bowler, her interests included playing cards and doing cryptogram puzzles; but, first and foremost, was spending time with her family and great circle of friends.
Helen will be sadly missed by her husband, Bernard “Bernie” LeBlanc of Moncton; daughter, Michele LeBlanc of Moncton and son, Dana (Thérèse) of Dieppe; grandchildren, Matthew (Robin), Joshua (Denise), Justin, Nick and Mathieu; great-grandchildren, Silas, Sierra and Michael; sister, Linda Clark (William) of Ottawa, ON, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Michael “Mike” (November 2015); sisters, Dorothy, Marjorie and Marion; brothers, Lee, Layton, Glen, Ralph, Fred and Gerald.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate Helen’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 10:30 am, with Rev. Catherine Gaw officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held at Horsman Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital or Visions United Church would be appreciated by the family.
