On Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at 84 years of age, George passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his family.
Left to mourn his passing is his loving wife Vivian; daughter, Rose Mary; sons, George (Pam) and Shane. He was honored and blessed with six grandchildren. George was grandfather and father to, grandchildren Brittany, Morgan and Dylan and will be dearly missed by Shane, McKayla and Katie and great-grandchild Chase, also by his sister Sarah Rose and many nieces and nephews.
George was predeceased by his parents John and Louise, as well as 14 of his brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home Chapel, 10 Clyde Ave., Sydney Mines.
