We, the family of Margaret Cecile MacPherson, regret to announce her passing on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at the Cove Guest Home.
Born in Cheticamp, she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Delaney
Our mother was a most loving and caring person. She had the kindest heart we've ever known. She was compassionate & passionate, so funny at times, and taught us, without ever saying the words, that happiness and enjoying the simplest things, is the key to a wonderful life. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, wife, and friend to all. And she will be greatly missed.
Margaret is survived by her loving children, Billy (Karen) MacPherson, Bruce MacPherson and Bernadette (Donnie) Johnston; grandchildren, Cale (Tamara), Cory, Marielle and Delaney; great-grandchildren, Talon and Avani. She is also survived by her siblings, Lucy (Jimmy) Piche, Bernadette (Fred) Buckles and Miles Delaney.
Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Sonny MacPherson and her siblings, Annie Rose Klein, Rita Desveaux, Sam and Willie Joe Delaney.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at 3 p.m., in the S.W Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. A reception at the funeral home will follow the service.
