Passed away on January 5, 2016 at her home in Carbonear at the age of 80 years. She will be forever loved and remembered by her children Sharon (Byron), David (Glady), Janet, and Paula (Les): her grandchildren Leonard, Lindsey, Sarah, Amy, Matthew and Leah and her great-grandson Johnathan. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Ray and her sister Vina Roberts. Leaving to mourn her sisters Martha Best, Jessie Blake (Everet), Eiffie Best, Rebecca O'Leary, Lavenia Green (Al) and Verna Palante (Jacquie), brothers Garfield (Lily) Bessey, Melvin (Dorothy) Bessey and Hounsell (Gertie) Bessey, also many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service will be held on Monday January 11, 2016 at 2 p.m. from Brownsdale United Church. Inurnment in Brownsdale United Church Cemetery.
