We the family regret to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend Mary Louise MacKenzie in Alberta.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Patience and Jimmy MacKinnon.
She was a very good, loyal friend to all who knew her. She loved to bake and share with her friends and she was known her for crafts and sewing.
Mary is survived by her sons, Angus (Juanita) MacKenzie, British Columbia, Darrell (Shirley) MacKenzie, Cold Lake, Leon (Shauna), Glace Bay; daughters, Mary MacKenzie, Sydney, Nadine (Allan) Seelly, Lethbridge, Alisa MacKenzie, New Waterford; brothers, Jimmy (Lorna) MacKinnon, Tommy (Theresa) MacKinnon; sister Joan MacKinnon; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three special grandchildren and many people who considered her their mom.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband John Angus 'Pumpkin' MacKenzie and her son Alexander in Infancy.
Cremation has taken place. A chapel service will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Deacon Leo Penny officiating. Interment to be held in St. Michaels Cemetery.
