Passing in her home at the side of her loving husband, Willard, at Calgary, on Thursday, January 14, 2016, Gertrude Lillian Phillips of Calgary, in her 75th year.
Born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on September 6, 1940. Daughter of the late Waldo Russell and Lillian Irene (Robinson) Stewart (Kensington, P.E.I.).
Wife of Willard Dalton Phillips. Daughter-in-law of Sanford Phillips and Thelma (Dalton) (O'Leary, P.E.I.). Mother of Merle Allan (Linda) Rayner, Daryl Avard (Belinda) Rayner, Phyllis Alethea Rayner, Deryk Bryan (Tami) Phillips. Loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Sister of David (Marjorie), Russell, Preston (deceased) (Linda), Lewis, Nancy (Garth) McKenna, Merrill (Stephanie), Allison (deceased) and Olive (Tim) LeHocky. Sister-in-law to Marlene Dumville. Loving grandmother to Jennifer, Lindsey, Clarissa (Patrick), Kacie, Shelby, Rebekah, Caleb, Matthias and Hannah. Great-grandmother to Allisen and Kaleb.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Monday, January 18, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. She is resting at Mountain View Funeral Home, 1605 - 100 Street SE, where funeral services will also take place on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
