BOLSTRIDGE, ROWENA
At the Victoria Glen Manor, Perth-Andover, January 20th, 2016, Mrs. Rowena Bolstridge of Carlingford passed away at the age of 84 years. She was the wife of John Bolstridge. Born at Four Falls in 1932, she was a daughter of the late Charles Winfred and Mabel (Bourgoin) Murchison.
Rowena is survived by her husband of 60 years, John, her six children, Shirley Smith (Chipman) of Flatlands, Jacqueline Waye (Bruce) of Carlingford, Douglas Bolstridge (Lenny) of Slave Lake, AB, Barbara Bartlett (Brian) of St. Stephen, Carol Knox (Paul) of Bethel and Joanne LeBlanc (Mark) of Houston, TX, 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Elva Johnson (Harold) of Sarnia, ON, Grace Roach (late Kenneth) and Kathleen McCarthy (Francis) of Perth-Andover, two brothers, Samuel Murchison (Dorothy) of Victoria Glen Manor and Charles Murchison (Alvine) of Belleville, ON, sisters-in-law, Rowena (late Arnold), Hilda (late Roy) and Linda (late Patrick), several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Alberta Cox (late Bert) and Ruby Jenkins, four brothers, Arnold, Roy, Thomas and Patrick Murchison.
Resting at St. Mary of the Angels Roman Catholic Church, Perth-Andover with visiting hours on Friday, January 22nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the church on Saturday, January 23rd at 2 p.m., with Father Curtis Sappier officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, donations to the Victoria Glen Manor Foundation, the St. John Valley Right to Life or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
