Cecil Francis Burt was born in St. Anthony on October 9, 1930 to Winnifred and James Burt. He had one son (Roy) and helped raise six step-children. Cecil Francis Burt of St. Anthony passed away December 25, 2015. Left with their memories are son Roy (Joyce); granddaughter Leanne, six step-children Albert (Jo), Gary (Irene), Dorothy (Dennis), Gus (Cora), Ern, Benson (Daphne), Effie McLean and family as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his first wife Dora (Simms) Burt and his second wife Dorothy (Hancock) Burt, his parents, brother Reuben Burt and sisters Minnie and Mary-Ann. Visitation took place at Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home in St. Anthony followed by the funeral service which was held on Monday, Dec. 28 at 2:00 p.m. with Major Denzel Baggs officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard funeral director.
