The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Thursday, January 28, 2016, of Earl “Gabe” Gallant, of Summerside, aged 90 years. Veteran of World War II. Born in Summerside, he was the son of Gabriel and Millicent (Arsenault) Gallant. Survived by his wife Inez (McNally) Gallant; a son Bobby (Janet); daughters Pam (John) Arsenault, Roxanne (Blair) MacDonald and Tanya Wallace; grandchildren Scott and Matt Gallant, Darcie (Troy) Singer, Heidi Arsenault, Jack Wallace; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister Gladys Gallant. Predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Calice, Phillip, Fred, Henry, Edward; sisters Adeline Fardy, Tillie Thompson, Marjorie Knycha and Millie Brenton. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Tuesday, then to St. Paul’s Church, Summerside, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place later in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Members of the Summerside Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Service of Remembrance, at the funeral home, on Sunday at 6:45 p.m.
