McKNIGHT, ANGUS
Angus Lloyd McKnight, 88, of Mannhurst, NB, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital on January 30, 2016. Born in Corn Hill, NB, he was a son of the late Robert and Maude (nee McCully) McKnight.
Angus worked at several trades over the years as a carpenter, a blacksmith, an electrician, and with the Merchant Marines during the Second World War. He was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 86 in Havelock, NB; he was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the Canadian Owners and Pilots Association.
Angus is survived by his wife Eileen M. E. (nee Morton) McKnight; his son Larry McKnight (Charline) of Moncton; his grandchildren: Robert, Christopher and Jennifer; his great grandson Max; his sister Sadie Reeder of Riverview; as well as by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Besides his parents, Angus was predeceased by his first wife Theresa McKnight (nee Arsenault); his brothers: Calvin, Shepherd, and Elmer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Armstrong’s Funeral Home, 33 Russell St., Petitcodiac (506-756-3361). Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm; the funeral service will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. James Hammond presiding, all in Armstrong’s Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date.
