LeBlanc, Marie Eva Leona
Marie Eva Leona LeBlanc, 97, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on Monday, February 8, 2016, with her loving family at her side.
Born in Leger Corner, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marie (Cormier) LeBlanc. Leona was a retired School Teacher, attended Sainte-Thérèse-de-L’Enfant-Jésus Roman Catholic Church. Her hobbies included hat making, sewing, playing cards and socializing with her friends at bingo.
Leona will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lucille Croitor (Andrew) of BC; son, Claude LeBlanc (Jocelyne Roy) of Moncton; grandchildren, Angela (Lindsey), Marc (Jody), Melissa (Eric), Chantal (Hicham) and Denis (Monique); great grandchildren, James, Samantha, Max, Anouk, Dali and Ines; brothers and sisters, Anita Melanson, Leo LeBlanc (Evelyn), Theresa Arsenault (Archie), Ronald LeBlanc (Camilla); nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard LeBlanc (1979); son, Norman LeBlanc (2002); brothers and sisters, Roy, Evelyn, Bella, Mae and Rita.
Funeral Mass will be held at Sainte-Thérèse-de-L’Enfant-Jésus Roman Catholic Church, 160 Ste-Thérèse St., Dieppe) on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 10:30 am with Rev. Jean Bourque officiating. Reception to follow at the Club d’Age d’Or. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in the spring.
