Bernice “Bunny” Kvasnak
October 19, 1938 – February 12, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce that Bernice “Bunny” Kvasnak nee Hartl passed away on the 12th of February at Mont St. Joseph’s Care Home with Mike by her side. Bunny was born on October 19, 1938 in Lestock, SK. Her family moved to Saskatoon where she and her sister Marlene grew up. She later moved to Prince Albert where she met and married her husband Michael Kvasnak with whom she celebrated 58 years of marriage on January 25th of this year. Their son, Edward, was born in 1959 and daughter, Karen, in 1960. Mom was an avid and talented Bowler for many years, bringing home numerous trophies and awards. She also took up Curling and was most proud of being a member of a team that scored an “8 ender” at East End Curling Rink. Her real passion and joy was found on the golf course though, where she was always a fierce competitor. Bunny was pre-deceased by her father: Wes; and her mother: Violet; her mother and father-in-law: Peter and Mary; her brother-in-law: Herb Long; and her granddaughter-in-law: Celine Nelson. Bunny is survived by her husband: Mike Kvasnak; her son: Ed and his wife Jeanne, and their children, Michael and Carly; her daughter: Karen Nelson and her husband Barry, and their children, Jaret Nelson and Heather Harmon and her husband Dustin; her great-grandchildren: who always made her face light up, Clay and Reese Harmon, and Quinn and Beau Nelson; her sisters: Marlene Vince and Debbie Baldwin; her sister-in-law: Marsha Long; her nephew: Jerry Long and his wife Lyn, and their son Christopher and his fiancée Chelsea. The family wishes to give all our thanks and love to the Angels-on-Earth at Mont St. Joe’s for making mom’s last years with us comfortable and happy. There will be a private family service at Bunny’s request. Those wishing to honor Bunny’s memory may make their donations to Mont St. Joseph’s Care Home. Arrangements in care of MacKenzie Chapel & Crematorium. Brian and Bev Stobbs, Funeral Directors. www.MacKenzieChapel.ca 306.763.8488
So long Sweetie Pie,
I’ll love you forever,
Mikey
