It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clarence Skeard announces his passing at the Mountain Hope Manor on February 16, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Clarence was the son of the late Almon and Elizabeth (nee Short) Skeard. He was also predeceased by his brother Edward Skeard, sisters Frances (Jack) Scott, Minnie Musseau, brother-in-law Cyril Lomond and father and mother-in-law William and Beatrice Anderson. He leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his devoted wife Nina of 65 years, loving father of Beatrice (Willie) Gillam, Betty (Don) Dowding all of Port aux Basques, Sharon (Ken) Carter MacDougall's. He will forever remain in the hearts of the his grandchildren Kim (Ed) Brown, Sabrina (Allan) Downey, Tara Gillam (Scott Chant), Dawn Dowding (Krista Bowdridge), Kimberly (Jason) Bird, great grandchildren Christina Thibault (Justin), Amanda, Brittany, Tyson, Graham, Avery Jenna, Carter, Matthew, Courtney, great great grandchildren Mila, Abigail. He will also be sadly missed by his only sister Mary Lomond Port aux Basques, brother-in-law Reg Musseau Codroy Valley, sister-in-law Rachel Skeard Scotland, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation taking place on Wednesday, February 17 and Thursday, February 18 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from East Haven Funeral Home Inc.. Funeral services taking place on Friday, February 19, 11 a.m. from Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle with Pastor Tyrone Ball officiating. Interment to follow at the Faith pentecostal Tabernacle, TCH, Port aux Basques. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle.
