Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Friday, February 12, 2016, Marjorie L. Clarke of Victoria, age 90 years. Predeceased by husband: Arthur; parents: Richard and Elva Parsons; sisters: Clara (Ross) Smith; Elva Penney and Bernice (Jack) Sutton; brothers: Lionel, Reginald (Violet), Leonard (Helen) and Robert; son-in-law: Paul Mercer and brothers-in-law: Albert Crane and Winston Bess. Left to mourn, four daughters: Bernice Mercer and Robina (Tom) Rogers, both of Victoria, Millicent (William) Mercer, Upper Island Cove and Marjorie (Ryan Hayter), Leduc, AB; son: Granville (Helen), Victoria; twelve grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother: Richard (Marie) Parsons, Victoria; two sisters: Robina Crane, Harbour Grace and Dora Bess, Victoria; brother-in-law: Alfred Penney, Carbonear and sister-in-law: Joyce (Melvin) Wilbraham, England; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel's Funeral Home, Carbonear. Rev. Karen Thorne conducted the funeral service on Tuesday, February 16 from the United Church, Victoria.
