Born in North Sydney April 30, 1922; died in Maple Ridge, B.C. on Feb. 16, 2016.
Mary was the daughter of the late Captain Dan and Hattie Carmichael of St. Annes Bay.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Bob Andrea) MacDonald and Marilou Howells; her sons, Lamont and Wesley (Maggie) Buchanan.
Mary was "Grammie Mary" to: Ena (Bern), Charles, Scott (Sharon) and Jami (Brenda) and her great-grand-children Scottie, Dylan, Sophie, Isabella, Kevin and Jillian. Also surviving are her brother, Eric (Kaye) Carmichael and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Camilla and Wayne Atkinson.
A strong and caring, loving role model who lived life her way to the end.
