LeBLANC, LORETTA
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta LeBLanc, age 94, of Sackville. Loretta passed away peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 20, 2016, with loving family by her side. Born in Amherst, NS, she was a daughter of the late William and Alice (Gaudet) Nixon.
Loretta was a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted much of her early life to caring for her husband. After his passing, she reinvested her energies and became very socially active, a member and past president of the Sackville Seniors, as well as playing bingo and cards. At the age of 71, she took Young Drivers, and was known as the "Oldest Young Driver". Above all else, Loretta cherished time surrounded by her family.
She will be dearly missed by her children Eric Nixon (Lorraine), Riverview, Judy Fraser Bain (Neil), Chilliwack, BC and Dale LeBlanc (Dawn), Sackville; six grandchildren, Rhonda, Scott, Ashley, Angela, Jeffrey and Jena; six great-grandchildren, Caelan, Ashley, Cayden, Scarlet, Carter and Sidney; sister Cora Arsenault, Edmonton, AB.
She was predeceased by her husband George in 1984, and siblings Harold, Donald, Eleanor, and Bobby.
Arrangements have been entrusted with Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Vincent's Roman Catholic Church, Sackville, NB on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 2 pm, Father Allison Carroll officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery in the spring.
