It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bruce Andrew Swyers announce his passing at his residence on Sunday, February 21st 2016 at the age of 50 years. He leaves to mourn his parents Arthur and Doreen Swyers in Stephenville, his daughter Angel Dee Lynn Atkinson, son-in-law Rob Atkinson, and grandson Malachi Ezra Atkinson all in Glace Bay. Also leaving to mourn one brother Anthony (Wendy) in Fort McMurray, three sisters Sheri Lynn LaSaga (Leo) in Fort McMurray, Dee Ann Swyers (Greg) in Saskatoon, Kelli Joyce in Ontario, four nieces, five nephews and a large circle of aunt, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 24th 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Russell's Funeral Home in Stephenville. The funeral will take place on Thursday, February 25th 2016 at 10 a.m. from St. Stephen's Parish on West Street with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway.
