ALMA SELINA SAMMS
May 24, 1941 – February 11, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alma Samms announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on February 11, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Alma was the daughter of the late Fred and Myrtle (nee Ingram) Bennett. She was predeceased by her Husband William Samms, brothers Bill Bennett and Bruce Bennett. She leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories her daughter Catherine (Lewis) Matthews Port aux Basques, son George Thomas (Rosa) Halifax NS. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Cory Matthews Halifax NS, Christopher (Marina) Matthews Red Deer AB, and Ryan Allen Port aux Basques, precious great granddaughter Emily plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation took place on Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., Port aux Basques. Funeral services took place on Monday, February 15, 2 p.m. from Wesley United Church with Rev. Kathleen Anderson officiating. Interment followed at Wesley United Cemetery. Flowers accepted or donations in Alma's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
