WALTER GILLIS
Card of Thanks
Walter Gillis
The family of the late Walter Gillis, would like to sincerely thank all our family, neighbours and friends, who came from far and near, as well as all those who were unable to be here, for all your prayers, support and kindness at this difficult time, your presence meant so much to all of us. It was so great to recall all the wonderful memories of growing up in such an amazing community; to be reunited with our school-mates , former teachers, neighbours, relatives and their families( both young and old), to have the opportunity to be reminiscing on the “good old days”. Our heartfelt thanks, to Father Bill Burke, P.P. St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish, for officiating at the Funeral Mass, as well as Decon Robert Coleman, Father Frank Abbass and Father Al Maroun for their assistance. To the choir, organist and Bereavement team, thank you. Thank you, to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney and the QE II Hospital, Halifax. To those who phoned, sent or brought Mass cards and offerings, memorial donations to St. Mary’s Cemetery fund and the Hospice Palliative Care Society of the Regional Hospital, sympathy cards, and the many enrolments in the various catholic organizations, we are grateful. To Gen ad Carmel Gillis, Eleanor MacNeil, Betty Lord, Viola and Ivan Doncaster , words are never enough to express our thanks. To the staff of SW Chants Funeral Home, the thoughtfulness, compassion and service, shown to us was exceptional. To anyone who helped in any way, we sincerely thank you
The Gillis family
