Passed peacefully away on February 25, 2016 at the Carbonear General Hospital, with his family by his side, George Piercy Curnew of Clarkes Beach. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Henerietta Curnew, brothers Harry, Cyril, Ernest and Gerald and sisters Vera and Doreen. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Shirley, sons Jerry (Theresa), Barry, Bradley, Dean and daughters Koren (Sam) and Karen (Scott), also leaving to mourn sister Babe (Henerietta) Forbes, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family and friends. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. for family, Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. for family and friends. Cremation to follow. No flowers at the request of the family. The family would like to thank everyone who showed their support in any way during this difficult time, by bringing food, giving cards, making phone calls, visits, ect.
