It is with heavy hearts and fond memories we announce the passing of Herman Acker age 66 of Glace Bay. Herman passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, Herman was the son of the late Francis and Jessie (Hiscock) Acker.
Herman loved the water and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He would go out of his way to help anyone and everyone, no matter what the situation. If he could not help them, he would find someone that could. Herman was a kind and caring man. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Herman will be sadly missed by his five sisters, one brother, best friend, Duane (Amy) Muise and children. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and by his many friends.
Besides his parents, Herman was predeceased by his loving companion, Roxanne, who meant the world to him, one sister and one brother.
In honouring Herman's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral sevice. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of Curry-Neville Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay.
