MUISE, Walter Raymond – age 89, Beacon Street, Yarmouth, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, February 26, 2016 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born March 13, 1926 in Quinan, he was a son of the late Samuel and Frances (Doucette) Muise-Doucette. He worked as a bloodworm harvester for many years. Walter was a member of Saint Ambrose Cathedral parish and enjoyed playing music. He is survived by step-children, Bev Muise (Loran), Susan Muise, Kim Muise, Ron Muise (Geraldine); step-daughter-in-law, Julia Muise, as well as by many nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Doucette) Muise; brothers, Louis Muise and Joe Muise; a half-brother, “Little Joe” Muise, as well as by sisters, Leona Deveau and Elizabeth Burrell. A special thanks to Jenny, Barb and Alan for being there for Walter and the rest of the family. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Yarmouth and there was no visitation. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 1 from Saint Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
