The family of the late Rita Connors, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who were there for us throughout her recent wake and funeral. To all who sent food, Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers, and made donations in her memory, we are truly grateful. To the pallbearers, readers, and offertory presenters; you did a great job! To all those who attended her wake, funeral, and luncheon, especially those who travelled from away to do so, we are so appreciative. To the St. Leonard’s CWL who prepared the luncheon and the St. Leonard’s Choir who sang so beautifully, we are truly thankful; and we’re sure that Mom loved the French Acadian hymn, it moved us to tears! We must mention Lee Campbell, who escorted Mom’s friends from the Manor (on the Manor bus), to her Funeral Mass and luncheon, we were deeply touched by your kind deed! Father Ray Huntley, we cannot thank you enough for your kindness, compassion, and your kind words about Mom. To Brenda Chiasson, who visited Mom ever Sunday afternoon; you’ll never know how much she (and we) appreciated those visits! To the staff of VJ McGillivray Funeral Home, your professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail overwhelmed us; thanks for making Mom look so young again! Finally, to the staff and residents of Maple Hill Manor; words can never express our gratitude to you for giving her all the love and comforts of home. We know full well why she though it was “the best place I ever lived”!
