1936-2016
Rita LeBlanc, 79, of Manoir Notre-Dame in Moncton, formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on July 26, 1936 in Barachois, she was the daughter of the late Aldéric and Edmée (Caissie) LeBlanc.
Prior to her retirement, she was a nurse’s aide at the Résidence Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur. Rita was an avid bingo player, wonderful mother, grand-mother and great-grand-mother.
She is survived by four sons: Allain (Thérèse) and Terry (Phyllis), both of Dieppe, Danny and Andy (Kim), both of Moncton; five grandchildren: Shawn, Tammy, Matt, Adam and Ryan; six great-grandchildren: Ayden, Alex, Noah, Rachel, Holly and Maïka; two sisters: Délia Parker of Maine and Clémence LeBlanc of Shediac; two brothers: Arsène of Moncton and Edgar (Rina) of Cap-Pelé; one sister-in-law, Gilberte LeBlanc of Saint John; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Valérie (2007), and one brother, Joey.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral will be celebrated on Monday, March 7 at 10:30 am. A reception will follow at the centre. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
