FERGUSON, GARY WAYNE
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the death of Gary Wayne Ferguson, on Thursday, March 3rd 2016, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Fredericton on September 27th, 1951, Gary grew up in the Nackawic area and later enjoyed a successful sales career in the heavy equipment industry. Gary’s love for family was second to none and he always looked forward to family gatherings. While Gary loved going on hunting trips, it was the camp gatherings with his buddies that he most enjoyed. As an avid hockey fan, Gary always took special pride in cheering on his favorite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Gary will be remembered by his family and friends for being thoughtful, strong willed and most of all, for his infectious laugh.
Gary will be sadly missed by his partner and best friend, Francine Sirois; his son, Tim (Sherry) Ferguson of Lincoln; his daughter, Sara (Michael) MacLean of Hanwell; his step-children, Rodney (Candy) Beaton, Paul (Crystal) Beaton and Andrea (Damien) Bernard all of P.E.I. and several grandchildren that he cherished.
Gary was predeceased by his parents, Duncan and Joyce (Kelly) Ferguson, as well as his first wife, Janet (Hatto) Ferguson and his second wife, Donna (Bernard) Ferguson.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Monday, March 7th, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In celebration of Gary’s life, a memorial service will take place at the New Maryland United Church on Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 at 11:00 am. Rev. Kelly Burke will officiate.
