1925 - 2016
Azor Landry, 90, of Bas-Cap-Pelé passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC, Moncton on Saturday, March 6, 2016. Born in Bas- Cap-Pelé May 15, 1925 he was the son of the late Eddie and Helena (Leger) Landry.
He was a former employee with Moncton Plumbing, former proprietor of Fred’s Restaurant in Cap-Pelé, member of the Cap-Pelé Golden Age Club,member of the UA Local # 325 and an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Aline (Landry); one daughter: Rhona (Normand) Léger of Bas-Cap-Pelé; three sons: Paul (Pauline Gaudet) of Fort McMurray AL, Maurice (Micheline) of Dieppe, André of Bas-Cap-Pelé; six grandchildren: Manuel, Michelle, Kristelle, Justin, Miguel and Maxan; one great-granddaughter: Nevaeh and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son: Roy (2000); brothers and sisters: Calixte, Rodolphe, Raymond, Loretta, Anna-Mai, Yolande and Rosanna.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Wednesday 9;30 am until time of departure 10;20 am. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste. Thérèse d’Avila Roman Catholic Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Wednesday, March 9th at 10:30am. Interment in the parish cemetery.
In memory of Azor, a contribution to the Centre Habiletés Du Sud-Est Inc, Cap-Pelé would be appreciated.
