Mary-Ann Lane

Lane, Mary Ann
1957 – 2016
LOVING, CARING, DEVOTED, SUPPORTIVE, HELPING, ENCOURAGING, FRIENDLY, SMILING, WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, AUNT, SISTER, AND MANY MORE WORDS ARE NEEDED TO COMPLETELY DESCRIBE THE QUALITIES OF MARY ANN LANE.
It is with great sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Mary Ann Lane on March 6, 2016.
Originating from Upper Kent, NB she was a daughter of the late Bob and Sadie Pierce.
Mary Ann’s primary role was the care and management of her Riverview family. She was the dedicated anchor that made sure her children were raised with high standards and even more love. As a caring wife she always supported Bill’s efforts and enabled his career.
For many years she was an active curler in the Moncton area including being part of a ladies championship team in the city. Other passions included golf, bowling, and watching NASCAR racing.
She was also key in organizing many family reunions for her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and her immediate family. Family was a huge part of her world and she created many lasting memories for all those around her.
She leaves behind Bill, her husband of almost 34 years, her daughter Julie (Bill McRorie) of (Edmonton), and sons Andrew (Kathleen Alexander) of Boston and Brad (Michelle Fazio) of Fredericton; grandson Ryerson and granddaughter Erika.
She will be sadly missed by all including her sisters Emily (Ken Sutherland) of Riverview and Nancy Marshall of Saint John, and her brothers Michael (Lynn) of Halifax, Bob (Evelyn) of Saint John, Charles (Judy) of Piercemont, and Ambrose (Wendy) of Halifax. There are many nieces, nephews and next generation nieces and nephews that all know how much she cared. She was predeceased by her brother James (Elaine) of Florenceville.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, NB. Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on March 10, 2016 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the local hospitals: George Dumont and Moncton Hospital.
