At the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, March 7, 2016, of Leory J. Desroches of Pleasant St., Kensington, aged 65 years. Born in Alberton on March 11, 1950. Son of the late Edward and Dorothy (Mallett) DesRoches. He is survived by his sisters Anne Marie Boucher, Toronto, Ont; Vi (Gerry) Frigault, Innisfil, Ont.; Elaine Freeman, Barrie, Ont.; and Blanche (Bernie) McGrath, Mississauga, Ont; brothers Ivan (Julie) DesRoches, Moncton, N.B.; Frank (Mary Anne) DesRoches, Haliburton, Ont.; and Albon (Maureen) DesRoches, Gatineau, QC.; and sister-in-law Jeanita DesRoches. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ernie DesRoches.Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, where members of St. Mary’s Holy Family Knights of Columbus Council #12465 will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. followed by visitation from 2-4 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s-Holy Family Church, Kensington on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in St. Simon and St. Jude Church Cemetery Tignish.
