It is with heartfelt sadness that we the family announce the passing of John Frederick 'Jack' Pyke, on March 11, 2016, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with loving family at his side.
Born in Glace Bay, Jack was the son of the late Roy and Mary (Burns) Pyke.
Jack was employed as plant manager of Hopkins for 25 years, then he worked at Kaiser Marine.
He loved his Sunday drives with his wife Judy, as well as spending time with family and friends. Dad was a very well respected man by all who knew him.
Surviving are loving wife, Judy; daughter, Amanda; sons, Jack Jr. (Kim), Steven, Bobby (Carol) and Jerry (Lisa); grandchildren, Tasha, Wendi, Chris, Katie, Shelby and Stephanie and sister, Francis Brown.
In following Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Private family service to take place at a later date.
