Peacefully, surrounded by family, at home on Sunday, March 13, 2016, of John A. Cousins of Baker St., Summerside, aged 73 years. Born in Darnley on September 2, 1942, son of the late Robert S. and Louise M. (Ramsay) Cousins. Loving husband of 55+ years of Judy G. (Beairsto) Cousins. Father of Joanne (Dale) Waddell; Stephen (Cindy) Cousins and Linda (Gordon) Waddell. Grandfather of Matthew (Jodi); Joel (Louise) and Sarah Waddell; Katie (Matthew) McNally; Kara, Namoni, Hannah and Daniel Cousins; and Laura, Ellen and Mary Waddell. Great-grandfather of Michael, Colin, Izzy, London, Norah and Elliot. Brother of Sutherland (Altheia) Cousins, William Cousins (Dorothy Beairsto), Arthur (Shirley) Cousins, Mary Hickey, Fulton (Mary) Cousins and Florence “Fluff” (Burrows) MacPhail. Brother-in-law of Ken and Richard Warden. Also survived by many members of the Walsh family and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Robert Keir and Norman Cousins; sister Edith Woodside; sisters-in-law Marilyn Cousins and Elaine Cousins and brothers-in law Delmar Woodside and Elmer Hickey. Son-in-law of the late Kate and Preston Beairsto and Verna and Ross Warden. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Thursday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery Malpeque. If so desired contributions may be made to the East Prince Palliative Home Care Program or the Prince County Hospital Foundation. Due to allergies, please refrain from wearing scents.
