It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lawrence Martin Mercer on March 13, 2016.
Born Jan. 27, 1947, originally from Sydney, N.S. (Cape Breton Island) Lawrence travelled extensively across Canada and the U.S.A. He loved to travel and experience new things.
He was predeceased by his mother, Greta and father, Ernest, both born in Sydney, N.S.
Lawrence leaves behind his wife, Beverly; his children, Leah Mercer and Marcus Mercer; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Danisha & Maybella; his brother, Roy and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extensive friends. Everyone who knew Lawrence 'Lark' will miss him greatly and he will be remembered for living life to the fullest.
There will be no formal service and he is going to be cremated and will go home to Gillis Lake, where he spent every summer with his family and friends. Gillis Lake is a very special place for him and he spent most of his life there.
The family would like to thank the Grace Hospital for all their efforts to help him.
