1931-2016
James "Jim" Patrick Trainor, loving companion of the late Verna Flieger of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, formerly of South Melville, PEI, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home at the age of 84.
Born in Kelly's Cross, PEI, he was the son of the late Everett and Helen (Condon) Trainor. James was a retired pipe fitter in the construction industry. James was an avid reader and hockey fan.
James is survived by: Anne Marjorie (McQuaid) Barratt, former wife and mother of all his children; one daughter: Cheryl Trainor of Hamilton, ON; two sons: Christopher (Maribella) Trainor of Brighton, ON, Francis Angelo Trainor of Bangladesh; six sisters: Mary Miller of the United States, Joan (John) MacDonald of Corran Ban, PEI, Josie Tierney, Jeanette Clow, Laurena Noonan and Angela Monaghan, all of Charlottetown, PEI; six brothers: Desmond (Freda) Trainor of Kingston, ON, Bennett Trainor of Kelowna, BC, Thomas (Elaine) Trainor of Charlottetown, PEI, Gabriel (Marilyn) Trainor of Charlottetown, PEI, Brian (Ann) Trainor of Cornwall, PEI, and Joe (Jean) Trainor of Morell, PEI; one grandson: Michael; one granddaughter: Mikayla and many nieces and nephews. James is predeceased by his parents: Everett and Helen (Condon) Trainor; daughters: Mary Rose Waugh and Natalie D. Carpenter and one brother: Damien Trainor.
Visitation will be held at Bell's Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 23, from 9:30-10:45 a.m. with funeral service to follow at the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m. with Father John Beaumaster officiating.
In James' memory, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or Schizophrenia Society.
