Robinson, Michael Charles M.
The passing of Michael Charles M. Robinson, husband of Barbara Robinson of Doaktown, NB occurred on Monday, March 21, 2016 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on January 14, 1951 in Doaktown, NB, he was a son of the late Melvin Sr. and Nora (O’Donnell) Robinson. Mike worked for NB Liquor. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 23; Past President of the Doaktown Curling Club and was an avid Toronto Maple Leaf Fan.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, Mike is survived by his step daughters, Vanessa Ward (Lee Morrissey) of Burton, NB and Melissa Ward of Doaktown, NB; grandchildren, Laine Guitard and his father, Doug Guitard and Victoria Morrissey; brothers, Ernie Robinson (Diane) of Fredericton, NB and Leon Robinson (Bonnie) of Charlottetown, PE; half sister, Edna Looney (Randie) of Beverly Hills, FL; brother in law, Vernon Dunphy of Boiestown, NB; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides his parents, Mike was predeceased by sisters, Anna Robinson and Velma Dunphy; brothers, Robert (Norma), Melvin Jr. and William (June) Robinson and niece, Brenda Richards.
Visitation will be held at Miramichi Valley Chapel, 7861 Route 8, New Bandon, NB on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 3 to 7 pm. Although there will be no Funeral Service at Mike’s request, a Graveside Service will take place at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Cemetery, Blissfield, NB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
