It is with saddened hearts, we announce the death of our Mother, Theresa Catherine Cash age 97 of Irish Cove, which occurred on March 22, 2016 at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.
Born in Big Pond Centre, she was a daughter of the late Hugh and Flora (MacKinnon) MacLellan.
Theresa was a devout roman catholic and a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Johnstown. She was a cancer survivor for over 50 years and had a strong devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Theresa was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by her son Hugh (Colleen), daughters Florence (Edward), Catherine Ann (Larry) and Barbara, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Her husband Joseph predeceased her in 1986, in 1981 by her daughter Anne, also by a brother Martin and sisters Sadie, Mary, Kay, Margaret and Josephine.
There will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be offered Monday at 11 a.m. from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Johnstown with Rev. Anthony O’ Connor presiding with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Of Guadalupe Shrine.
