Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, Harold Pretty at the Long Term Care Home in Corner Brook at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories the love of his life Bride; sons: Ray (Valerie), Calvin (Sandra); daughters: Sylvia (Brian) Worthington, and Sandra (Bert) Taylor; grandchildren: Michael (Nicole), Alison (Wayne), Travis, Jeremy, Jared and Bradley; brothers: Reginald, Cliff; sister Mame and a circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: John and Mary Pretty; brothers: Thomas, Jack, George, William, and Verdun; sisters: Annie and Betty. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Friday, March 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, March 26, at 2 PM from the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street with Major Raymond and Laura Janes officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
