1940 -2016
It is with great sorrow that we announce the going home of our dear Rosella Charlene Shaw of Deerville. Rosella went to be with her precious Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, with her family at her side. Born November 28, 1940 in Royalton, Carleton County she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Glenna Weade.
Rosella faithfully served the Lord by playing piano at the Lakeville Baptist Church for 50 years. She was a lifetime member of the Missionary Society. Rosella taught piano lessons to children in the area for many years before she entered into a career for the Provincial Government at the land registry office where she worked for 25 years. Rosella especially enjoyed her winters in Florida spent with special friends in her retirement years. She was known for her banana cream pie, Rosella donuts and playing dominos.
Rosella is survived by her husband Earl of 57 years who lovingly called her Liz, two children, Debra Locke (Geoff) and Ronnie (Jill); five grandchildren, Amanda Clark(Lucas), Kristyn Beaulieu(Chris), Chelsey Luther(David), Calvin Locke and Teeka Daniel(Kris); two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Jaxon as well as two sisters Lona Watson(Clarence) and Roberta Goode and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Special thanks to Rosella’s nurses, doctors, and caregivers and to family and friends for their faithful visits and support.
Visitation will be held from Culberson Funeral Home, 188 Connell Rd., Woodstock on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 2:00 pm from The Culberson Memorial Chapel. Private Interment will be in the Lakeville Cemetery. A reception to be held at the Woodstock Baptist Church following the funeral service.
If so desired, donations may be made to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support Group or the Lakeville Cemetery in care of the Funeral Home.
