COTTER, Elizabeth Alberta (Enslow), 82, of East Green Harbour, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2016 in Queens General Hospital while holding the hand of her beloved husband, Leslie (of 64 years). Lizzie was a devoted wife and loving mother to six children; daughters, Judy Kane (Jerry), East Jordan; Janet Parson (Jerry), Spryfield; Joy Evenson (Brian), Calgary, AB; son, Jamie and Diane (MacDonald), Port L’Hebert; grandchildren Kim (Bobby); Jay, James, Jason, Darla (Jody), Dawn (Dean); Jonathan, Andrew, Katrina and Nathaniel and step-granddaughter Holly (Matt). Great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren will always remember their NANNY. Lizzie was predeceased by infant son, Harold and daughter Janice (Johnson); sister Mert (Daryl Thompson) and brother Johnny. Lizzie worked 17 years at National Sea Products (Lockeport) and was an Avon lady for many happy years, winning an award and trip to Montreal for the highest sales in Eastern Canada in the 1970’s. Lizzie attended the Pentecostal Church (E.G.H) in her youth but was baptized at Osborne Baptist Church at the age of 80. She will be remembered for her famous cinnamon rolls and home knit wool socks. Lizzie always drew strength from her faith, family and good friends. In later years Lizzie and Les spent many enjoyable evenings at ‘The Music Barn’. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, March 30 from 7-9 in H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Lockeport. Graveside service will be held at the Lockeport Cemetery (Lydgate) on Thursday, March 31 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Melvin Wheaton officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Osborne Baptist Church, Juniper House, Yarmouth (902) 742-4473 or any local Shelter for Women or Queen’s General Hospital.
