Mike 'Griz' Griffin passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at home.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Redmond and Mary 'Mayme' Griffin.
Mike’s passion in life was hiking all back trails and seeing new things in nature across Cape Breton, he also enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow.
Mike is survived by Helen Kitching his ex-spouse/friend; daughter, Susan Stevenson; son, John Cooke; grandchildren Autumn, Arianna, Alexis and Pearl; sisters Patsy, Gene, Hubba and Joan; brother Jacky.
Besides parents Mike was predeceased by a sister Betty.
Cremation has taken place, there will be a visitation/celebration of life on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay.
