Muriel Gladys Rector, aged 98 years of Springhill, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill.
Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the Late William C. and Florence (Rae) Brown.
She was a past member of the Senior Citizens Pensioners Club and enjoyed her photo albums, family and her many friends.
She will be sadly missed by a sister, Betty (Donald) Short, Springhill; special niece Sally (Myron) Murray, Williamsdale, NS and her children Elizabeth and Matthew and special nephew William (Candace Bonney) Short, Alberta and his children Donnie and Ryan; several other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Percy Rector; step son, Harold Rector; sisters, Elaine, Beatrice, Marjorie, Audrey, and Norma; her chosen mother, Margaret (MacLeod) Brown.
Arrangements entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, N. S. at a later date.
