MOORE, GARFIELD WESLEY
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Garfield “Gary” Wesley Moore which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, April 4th, 2016 with his family at his side. Born 1943, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Wesley and Phyllis (Howlett) Moore.
Gary worked as a Boilermaker with Local 73 for over 45 years. He was a jack of all trades. Gary loved working on cars and loved animals, especially his dogs Goldie and Sandy. Most of all he loved his family and was a wonderful father.
Gary is survived by his daughters Carrie Moore of Saint John, Robyn Anderson (Troy) of Saint John; son Troy Moore (Sheri) of Saint John and their mother Jean Moore; brothers Wayne Moore (Gail) of Chapel Grove, Carl Moore of Gardners Creek, Kevin Moore (Lorna) of Saint John, Bruce Cormier (Bonnie) of Saint John; grandchildren Ashley (Mark), Taylor, Marysa, Jenna; great-grandson Noah; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Wednesday, April 6th from 2 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Thursday, April 7th at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at Blacks River United Cemetery (Gardners Creek). Donations in memory of Gary may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
