GEORGE R. BECK
1947-2016
George ended his struggle with cancer at home on Sunday, April 3 surrounded in the love of his family. George is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years Jean (nee Lambert), his dearest children Scott (Melanie) and Laurie (Al) Girard. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Bailie, Rebecca and Ty. George is predeceased by his parents Alice and Buster Beck and bothers Dale and Murray Wayne. He will be fondly remembered by his many family and friends. George was a former member of the RCAF and a former employee of Canadian Blood Services. The family wishes to thank the St. Elizabeth nurses and Dr. Cucan for their care and compassion. There will be a service of remembrance on Friday, April 8 at 11 a.m. at the Orleans Legion. In memoriam donations may be given to the Orleans Legion, 800 Taylor Creek, Orleans K1C 1T1, the Phoenix Network, 2450 Lancaster Rd., Unit 36, Ottawa K1B 5N3 or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
