KERR, GERALD GARFIELD
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gerald Garfield Kerr on April 4, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Gerald was born on February 6, 1942, in Saint John, NB to the late William Garfield and Dorothy (Short) Kerr.
Gerald was an outdoorsman; he loved hunting and fishing and spending time at his camp. Gardening at the camp was a favorite pastime of his. He was a well-liked and well known man in the community. He was a very kind hearted man, and was always willing to help those in need. He was a member of Legion Branch #53, but above all, Gerald loved spending time with his family.
Gerald is survived by his brothers; Leo and George Kerr and sisters; Janet Kerr and Marjorie Ann (Page), brother-in-law Rick Rolfe along with nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents and wife Ann, Gerald was predeceased by his son Gerald, daughter-in-law Marilyn and his sister Audrey.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd (646-2424) where visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 1 to 2 pm. A funeral service will be held following the visitation from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm.
Donations in memory of Gerald may be placed to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
