It is with heavy hearts and a lifetime of treasured memories that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Elizabeth Mary Yetman (née Rideout) of St. Mary’s, aged 72 years, who entered into eternal rest on April 7, 2016. “Liz” is predeceased by her parents Edward and Mary Rideout, daughter Leona, sister Julia, brothers Mike and Isaac, parents-in-law Leo and Imelda; sister-in-law Jose, and brothers-in-law Matt, Leo Jr., Edgar and Bryan. Left to mourn with grateful hearts for having been blessed by her spirit are her husband of 52 years, Hughie; daughters: Daphne (Don), Michelle (Mike) and Karen; sons: Hughie and Alex (Mona); cherished grandchildren: Vanessa (Daniel), Andrew, D.J., Sophie, Alexa, Rebekka, Braeden, and her pride and joy, great-granddaughter Lucy; sisters: Juliette "Sis", Theresa and Adelaide (Wayne); brothers: Ed (Audrey), Hilary (Shirley), John (Agnes), Hubert (Cathy), Martin (Debbie), Jerome (Susan) and Walter; sisters-in-law Annette (Keith) and Stacey (Digger); brothers-in-law Ed (Hilda) and Karl; special friends: Mary Barb Comerford, Nattie Nolan and Derrick Bishop, and a wonderful circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that Mom is now reunited with the wonderful ladies of St. Mary’s who welcomed her with open arms in 1963. A special thank you is extended to the many nurses, doctors and hospital staff that have cared for Mom over the past number of years. Resting at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Saturday, April 9, from 10am – 9pm and Sunday, April 10, 2 - 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 10am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary’s. Burial to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. With her amazing spirit, steadfast determination and unconditional love of family, she was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
