ELIZABETH JANE HERRIDGE
November 2, 1919 – April 9, 2016
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Jane Herridge announces her passing on Saturday, April 9, 2016 with her family by her side at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port-aux-Basques. Born in Lolly Cove, Fortune Bay she was the daughter of the late William and Hannah (Drake) May. Elizabeth was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her daughters, Kathleen (Tom) Campbell, Norwood, Massachusetts, Cheryl (Gilbert) Lushman, Lower Sackville, NS, Iris (Peter) Cooney, Greely Ontario, Karen Herridge of Port aux Basques and Stella (Richard) Anderson, of Port-aux-Basques, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George Herridge, by brothers, Allan and Newman and sisters, Marion, Hazel and Rhynie. The family received friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Port-aux-Basques on Tuesday, April 12, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service took place on Wednesday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m., from Wesley United Church with Rev.
