It is with great sadness that Billís family announces his passing on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the age of 78 years. Bill was predeceased by his parents Helen and Harry Edwards; brother Barry Edwards; sister-in-law Martha Edwards. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Frances Edwards; daughter Karen Leniczek (Ralph); son Robert ëBobí Edwards (Jenn Tregale); grandchildren Matthew, Carter, Colette and Kelty; nephew Kevin Edwards (Judy) and their children Kayley and Sammy. Bill was born in Leroy, SK. In his early years he lived in Lanigan, SK and grew up in Moose Jaw, SK. Bill worked at The Co-operators Life Insurance Company for over 30 years. He was an active member of St. Johnís and St. James United churches. He was also very involved in provincial politics. Bill spent a great deal of time reading books on various subjects, writing poetry, and was always on a quest to learn new things. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Thank you to the staff at Pioneer Village for their care and patience. Thank you to the doctors, nurses in the emergency department and MSU Ward at the Pasqua Hospital for their care and compassion during his final hours. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 2702 - 12 Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1J2.
